Dan has supported Union Settlement since the 1990s and was a member of its Board of Directors for over a decade. He was one of the first donors to make a significant multi-year gift to the organization’s 125th Anniversary endowment campaign, and his leadership continues to strengthen Union Settlement’s sustainability and growth.
Since 1977, Dan has been a portfolio manager at Neuberger Berman, an organization that manages a range of equity, fixed income, private equity and hedge fund strategies on behalf of institutions, advisors and individual investors. As a portfolio manager, Dan counsels clients and their advisors to create multidimensional solutions that can incorporate investment, financial and tax planning, and trust and charitable giving strategies. Dan has served on the firm’s Executive Committee, was Chairman of the Board of the Neuberger Berman Trust Company and Chairman of its 401k Investment Committee.
Dan was born in New York City and has lived here virtually all his life. He and his wife, Nancy, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Dan is a graduate of Georgetown University, and New York University Graduate School, where he received an MBA.
In addition to supporting Union Settlement, Dan serves on the Endowment Investment committees of The Taft School and Georgetown University. He and his wife also support medical research at the Weill Cornell Medical College.
