Ethnic Festival

The 28th Annual Ethnic Festival will be held on August 28, 2024 from 10am – 6pm.

A large variety of multi-cultural entertainment will be offered on an outdoor stage, local vendors and exhibitors will line the streets, and activities for all age groups will take place throughout the day, attracting thousands of New Yorker’s.

Come see an array of musical and dance performances that promise an unforgettable experience filled with rhythm, melody, and captivating choreography.

Including:

• Indigo Arts is a unique family based company that provides music, dance and storytelling from the African tradition, for all occasions. Founded by the mother – daughter team of Caren Calder-Adams and Crystal Energy, Indigo Arts currently tours the New York City library system, school programs, private events, and multicultural celebrations at various venues.
• Christine Lee plays the Janngu, a drum that comes from Korea. The music performed is a modern arrangement of rhythms that originate from farming culture.
• Conjunto Salsa El Sabor is a Latin Salsa band, with over 30 years performing.
• Yaocihuatl a native language Nahuatl from Mexico meaning (Warrior women) folkloric Mexican dance, from ages 10 years old -65 years old
• DJRobbieo with years of experience and a deep understanding of music, DJ Robbieo has become a sought-after DJ in the industry. He has performed at variety of events, from intimate weddings to large-scale corporate parties, and knows how to keep the dance floor parked all night long  . . .
