Ruth Pachman

Ruth has spent more than 30 years as a strategic counselor at Kekst CNC, a leading global communications firm that works with clients on high profile corporate situations and acts as a trusted adviser to businesses, institutions, and their leaders around the world.
Ruth advises senior management teams and boards of directors on complex communications challenges impacting reputation and the capital markets. She has led engagements in the areas of shareholder activism and corporate governance; corporate restructuring and bankruptcy; mergers and acquisitions; and litigation support. Ruth has significant experience in friendly, contested, cross-border, and take-private transactions, as well as proxy fights in her capacity as co-head of the firm’s Corporate Governance and Shareholder Activism practice.
Notable recent work includes representing CVS Health in its acquisition of Aetna, Fujifilm in its efforts to combine Xerox with the Fuji Xerox joint venture, Olympus in its global corporate change initiatives and activist engagement, and Radio Shack and SunEdison in their chapter 11 filings. She represented KKR for more than 20 years, handling high-profile and complex transaction announcements and serving as its chief media spokesperson.
Ruth holds a B.A. in English, magna cum laude, from Wesleyan University and an M.A. in English with Emphasis in Expository Writing from the University of Iowa. Ruth is currently Board Chair of Union Settlement and a member of the Board of New York Youth Symphony. She is a member of the Museum of Modern Art’s Contemporary Drawing and Print Associates and former Chair of the Wesleyan University Annual Fund.
